The club’s division one weekend pennant side is currently third in the Allan Matheson Shield, and after Tuesday’s win, is matching that effort in the midweek Edna Harling Shield.
Euroa trekked to East Shepparton Bowls Club and produced a controlled performance in wet and wild conditions, scoring a 13-62 to 3-60 win that was set up in the first rink.
Shane Holmes skipped Euroa to a 13 shot victory over Kevin Cox’s four - and just as well, too.
East and Euroa shared the second rink spoils 17-all, and though the hosts romped to a 31-20 win in the third set of ends, the success of Holmes’ quartet carried the southerners to a narrow two shot triumph.
Around the greens, Shepparton Golf rubber-stamped its grasp on top spot thanks to a beating of Shepparton Park.
The Golfers sealed a 14-60 to 2-48 result away from home, underscored by Kris Ferguson’s 15-shot victory in the opening rink.
Seymour VRI trumped crosstown rival Seymour 16-60 to 0-50, while inclement weather forced the game between Tallygaroopna and Tatura-Hill Top to be scrapped.
Both sides collected eight match points for the draw.
