The program offered a range of tennis upskilling training for juniors, wheelchair-bound and vision-impaired and open age adults keen for a come-and-try session with Tennis Victoria.
Through the roadshow, Tennis Victoria is promoting creating pathways for volunteers to remain involved with the support, such as being a coach, umpire or club volunteer.
The SRT Roadshow covers program fees for those who signed up to tennis competitions and club on the weekend for the first 12 months to help commit more regional Victorians, such as Shepparton locals, to the sport.
“By covering program fees, offering training, and backing volunteers every step of the way, we’re making sure regional tennis has the people and programs it needs to thrive,” Tennis Victoria chief executive Kim Kachel said.
News photographer Rechelle Zammit captured the racquet swings in action on Sunday.
