The community choir is set to host its annual spring concert on Sunday, October 26, at Mooroopna Hall, promising a performance as diverse as it is entertaining with raffle prizes, afternoon tea and, of course, music.
“Attendees can expect an afternoon full of delightful music, with many familiar favourites such as Moon River, Shenandoah and Amazing Grace,” musical director Clifton Boschetti said.
“We’re also thrilled to have our youngest member, eight-year-old Lucas (Guy), sing a solo of Electricity from Billy Elliot.”
Further perking up the ears, Shepp Sings! will be accompanied by popular pianist duo Lindy Tennant and Graeme Brewer.
But that’s not all.
Lending their impressive music mastery to the concert are flautist Julie Prenzler, performing a Bach sonata, and new vocal quartet The Musicamici, comprised of Ms Boschetti, Kat Bristol, Will Lees and Chris Harris.
“Last year, we had over 100 audience members at MEAC, and we hope to see many familiar and new faces on Sunday at the beautifully refurbished Mooroopna Hall,” Ms Boschetti said.
The Shepp Sings! annual spring concert is on Sunday, October 26, at 2pm at Mooroopna Hall, 41 McLennan St, Mooroopna.
Entry is by gold coin donation, and afternoon tea is provided.
