What has been the highlight of your high school years?
The highlight of my high school experiences has been the friendships I have made throughout my years of being in high school.
It has been so amazing to be able to go on excursions and school trips with them as well as being able to graduate together.
What has been your favourite subject and why?
My favourite subject has been accounting, as I have excelled and felt like I’ve gained so much knowledge while undertaking units 3 and 4 in this subject.
I’ve also really loved the subject, as I have an amazing teacher who cares and puts in the effort to make sure the whole class succeeds.
What challenges have you overcome to get here?
To get to the big Year 12, I’ve been faced with many challenges, I’ve had to overcome, one of them being going from Year 6 to Year 7, having to make new friends, find my way around and rework everything I already knew.
Although it was all worth it, and I am so grateful for the experiences.
What are your plans for next year and beyond?
My plans for next year consist of moving to Melbourne, where I will attend university to study law.
This has been one of my dreams for ages, and it is so surreal to think it is only a few months away.
What advice would you give to the younger students coming through?
My biggest advice for younger students coming through is to take every opportunity as it comes, no matter how big or small.
Some advice I wish I had gotten in my younger years is that you only have your high school experience once, and you don’t want to regret not taking up every opportunity.
This can range from participating in cross country or applying for a leadership role, as these experiences can be the ones you enjoy and remember the most.
What are you looking forward to the most about graduating?
When graduating, I’m looking forward the most to gaining more experiences by moving to Melbourne and gaining more knowledge.
When I graduate, I’m also excited to celebrate the 13 years I’ve been in the schooling system that has led me to get the opportunities and knowledge I have gained.
