Having grown up in Ardmona and attended school in Mooroopna, Rajvir’s heart has always been firmly rooted in the Goulburn Valley.
Now, he’s giving back to the region that shaped him by helping local seniors continue living independently in the comfort of their own homes.
After completing a degree in Biomedical Science, Rajvir originally planned to become a GP. But when his father passed away in 2021, he stepped up to support the family business on their orchard in Ardmona — a decision that ultimately led him to discover his passion for aged care.
“I always wanted to help others in the health field,” he said.
“This opportunity came up, and I realised I could make a real difference helping the elderly. It’s something I’m truly passionate about.”
As operations manager, Rajvir now leads Senior Helpers Shepparton, a locally owned and operated business providing compassionate, personalised in-home support.
Its services include home care, dementia and Alzheimer’s care, Parkinson’s and multiple sclerosis support, disability care, chronic disease management, respite and end-of-life care.
When clients first connect with Senior Helpers Shepparton, the team takes the time to create a customised care plan that matches each person’s unique needs.
“We focus on supporting independence and freedom,” Rajvir said.
“From creating a safe environment to helping with daily living tasks, our goal is to help clients continue to live happily and comfortably in their own homes.”
The business also goes above and beyond to make care accessible — offering free complimentary visits for new inquiries, assisting clients with My Aged Care registration at no cost, and even providing free in-home consultations for those looking to transfer their care.
“We know how to maximise your budget and improve your quality of life,” Rajvir said.
“Our mission is to enhance independence, not take it away, so clients can stay in their homes as long as possible.”
