The event will take place on Wednesday, October 29, at the McIntosh Centre in Shepparton, with sessions running from 3pm to 4.45pm.
Attendees can meet council’s children’s services team in a relaxed setting and participate in informal interviews for positions across the long day care and kindergarten services.
Applicants can expect feedback within two weeks of the event.
Council manager of early years operations and reform Stacey East emphasised the opportunity for passionate individuals to join the sector.
“This event gives potential employees the chance to showcase their passion without the pressure of a traditional interview,” she said.
Early childhood educator Snehal Patel highlighted the supportive workplace culture.
“What I value most is the support from colleagues and leaders. There is always someone to learn from and collaborate with. You feel trusted to bring your ideas to the classroom,” she said.
Candidates must hold a minimum Certificate III qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent. Registrations open October 13 and close at noon on October 27.
