The club’s annual club tournament tees off this Friday and runs until Sunday, with organiser David Ludington hoping to draw locals and outsiders alike to the links for scintillating golf and swinging good times.
“(Entries are) not bad, a little bit slower than we’d expect but some people wait to see what the weather’s doing and all the rest of it,” Ludington said.
“I think bowls and cricket starts this weekend so that probably drops it understandably on the Saturday.
“The course has been great for a long, long time but it’s looking really good at the minute.
“It’d be nice if anyone hadn’t played it before wants to come up and have a crack for the first time - it’s a good event, good trophies and we’ll make them most welcome.”
The doors are open for those who may have never played Numurkah before.

The tournament is steeped in history and kicks off on Friday with a mixed Yankee competition before Saturday’s men’s and women’s four-ball pairs.
Sunday brings the main event - the male and female open championship - seeing the best of Numurkah and beyond go head-to-head for local glory.
As for the contenders, there’s no shortage of local firepower.
Andrew Storer, a multiple club champion, headlines alongside Mitch Grandell, who’s riding hot form after a county week where he went undefeated.
Daniel Adam makes the trip from Shepparton to round out a classy field — with, Ludington hints, a few more late entries expected.
“The more the merrier, they’ll be treated to a good course and a good few days, hopefully.
“If they haven’t played Numurkah before, we’d love to see them there and see what they reckon because we’re pretty proud of the course we’ve got here.”
Ludington noted the club is still accepting entries for all events, with interested parties encouraged to call the clubhouse on 5862 3445.
