The Polish superstar dismantled Camila Osorio 6-0 in the first set, before the Colombian was forced to retire injured in the opening game of the second set.
Top-seed Swiatek, who won last week's Korea Open, has also won the French Open four times and the US Open once among her six grand slam singles titles.
Her victory on Monday set up a fourth-round meeting with American Emma Navarro.
While Swiatek cruised to victory, 19-year-old Joint couldn't continue her impressive recent form, beaten 6-3 6-2 by Britain's Sonay Kartal, ranked No.81 in the world.
Joint, currently sitting at a season-high ranking of No.36, had beaten Russian world No.19 Diana Shnaider 7-5 6-1 in the second round in Beijing.
Her victory over Shnaider was Joint's third win over a top-20 opponent, all of which have come in 2025.
In earlier third-round matches on Monday, fourth-seeded Mirra Andreeva beat Jessica Bouzas Maneiro 6-4 6-1, and Marta Kostyuk was too good for Aliaksandra Sasnovich, winning 6-4 6-2.Â
Navarro was leading Lois Boisson 6-2 1-0 when the French player retired from the match.
