Federal Member for Nicholls Sam Birrell said the annual publication was a chance to showcase the character and charm of the electorate, from rural landscapes and weather events to sporting clubs, pets and community groups.
“This calendar is a fantastic opportunity to highlight our beautiful region,” Mr Birrell said.
“It will feature photos taken by locals that showcase the people, products, places, characters, culture and charm that define our electorate.
“Think local towns, streets, community groups, farms, weather events, letterboxes, pets, rivers, sporting clubs, tourist spots and more — anything that reflects life here.”
Twelve photos will be selected for the calendar, with full credit given to each photographer. The winning image chosen for the front cover will also receive a $200 gift voucher to a Goulburn Valley photography store of the winner’s choice.
Entries must be in landscape orientation, colour or black and white, be titled or named, and may be lightly edited. Images taken on mobile phones are welcome.
Thousands of copies of the calendar will be printed and distributed with local newspapers in early December.
Entries can be emailed to sam.birrell.mp@aph.gov.au or dropped off at Mr Birrell’s office at 426 Wyndham St, Shepparton.
The deadline for submissions is Wednesday, October 29.
