Research resource company Thinkfield will be conducting phone surveys until January 31.
The calls will be conducted as a representative random probability survey targeted at adults throughout the region.
Council corporate services director Chris Teitzel said the survey would help council understand if it was meeting community expectations on its services, facilities and council activities.
“It will provide insight into ways council can improve service delivery, and all information gathered will be used to provide ongoing improvements for Greater Shepparton,” he said.
These surveys have been helpful to the council, Mr Teitzel explaining that data from the first quarter Local Government Community Satisfaction Survey showed higher scores than the quarter before.
“Overall performance scored 66, which is higher than the average across Victorian councils and the other nine regional centres,” he said.
He encourages residents to take the time to answer the survey questions when they receive a phone call, assuring that all answers are confidential.
“Residents who receive a phone call can be assured this is a legitimate survey conducted on behalf of Greater Shepparton council. I would like to encourage residents to have their say on the various topics being presented,” he said.
The survey results will be made available to the public on the Council website, after they have been presented to Council in February.
