Legacy Week runs from Monday, September 1 to Friday, September 5, and local Legacy volunteers will be out and about across the district selling merchandise to raise funds to support widows of military veterans who served our country.
Legacy is a unique Australian organisation that has been providing support to the families of veterans locally since 1961.
During the week, Legacy volunteers will have a selection of iconic badges, pens, key rings, wristbands, a collection of teddy bears and also a 2026 calendar for sale.
New chair John Lilford said merchandise would be available in Kyabram at Kyabram Lucky Lotto and Kyabram Newsagency along with volunteers stationed outside Woolworths, Ian Collie Pharmacy and the IGA supermarket.
“The support from people all round our district has been amazing for well over 60 years, and as a volunteer group all funds raised are spent locally supporting our widows across the district,” Mr Lilford said.
Senior vice chair Daryl Reid will be looking after the volunteers in Tongala to be stationed outside the Tongala IGA supermarket during the week.
