The police air wing caught a man doing burnouts on a Mooroopna road late last year.
Montell Williams, 27, of Mooroopna, pleaded guilty in Shepparton Magistrates’ Court to driving a vehicle causing loss of traction and drug driving.
Prosecutor Rachel Elliot told the court the police air wing detected Williams doing burnouts on McFarlane Rd, Mooroopna on December 4, 2024.
Ms Elliot said there were four passengers in the Nissan Navara ute he was doing burnouts in, and he had tested positive for methamphetamines.
The court heard Williams told police he was showing off, being silly, and “got manipulated into it”.
Representing himself in court, Williams said he’d stopped driving since the incident.
Magistrate Simon Zebrowski told Williams he was “too old for that nonsense”.
He was fined $800 and his licence was disqualified for 14 months.
