On Thursday, May 8, the retail pharmacy celebrated its grand opening, drawing the masses to its newly revamped store at 310-312 Wyndham St, Shepparton, formerly John Anderson’s and Amcal.
After City of Greater Shepparton Mayor Shane Sali performed the ceremonial ribbon-cutting, shoppers were welcomed inside, greeted by festive decorations, appetising grazing tables, beauty demonstrations and exclusive brands to browse.
Owners Archana and Melvin Deo were thrilled by the hundreds of customers, friends and business affiliates who came to show their support.

“It was beyond my expectations,” Ms Deo said.
“When you have a grand opening, and it goes well, it gives you the feeling that you are doing right by the community, our customers and our business, too.”
How do they go about their business?
According to Ms Deo, new technology has changed the pharmaceutical game.
The store has implemented a fully automated dispensing system, helping to minimise customer waiting times.
Additionally, electronic shelf labelling for all dispensary products drastically reduces the time staff would otherwise spend manually changing catalogue tickets on shelves.
Most importantly, these innovations allow pharmacists to focus on the heart of the business: the customers.

“Pharmacies are providing more products and services to customers now than ever before,” Ms Deo said.
“We have aligned ourselves with this technology and innovation so we can provide more services, more interactions and more one-on-one consultations.
“That’s where we are heading — a more customer-oriented pharmacy.”
The customers who stopped by TerryWhite Chemmart Shepparton on grand opening day spoke highly of both the event’s success and the store itself.
And the customer is always right.
