The Goulburn Valley League season is a month down, with four epic rounds in the books for 2025.
There has been a swag of amazing results throughout April on the football oval and netball court; from nail-biting finishes to eye-popping upsets and total drubbings.
Embedded in those results are some unbelievable individual outings and we’re here to shine the spotlight on players who’ve strung together consistent performances across the month.
Starting in Friday’s edition of The News, we will elect the best GVL footballer, netballer and rising star winners of April and will continue to do so at the end of each month for the rest of the season.
The criteria for nominations are based on the past month, with respective open-age player of the month and 21-and-under rising star nominees required to have played at least two games of senior football or A-grade netball throughout the period.
At the end of the season, all GVL Player of the Month and Rising Star winners will be graded, with the victorious nominees from the selected categories to receive a mystery prize.
