Paul Hawke will urge his troops to extract as much as they can out of their final outings of the season - beginning with tomorrow's clash against Echuca at Victoria Park.
"It's always a tough test up there and it's hard when there's only a couple of games left and you're not in contention, I know that," Hawke said.
"But I don't want to wait until pre-season or next season to put in place things that we want to do.
"We might look at putting a couple of players in different positions, change it up a bit and see how it looks."
The Swans faded late against Rochester last week to go down by 73 points, but there were still plenty of positives to be taken out of the result.
"Last week we made it hard for ourselves," Hawke said.
"We had the same amount of scoring shots to three-quarter-time, but inaccuracy took us out of the game and then they put a bit of pressure on in the last and it blew out a bit.
"We need to work on our finish, especially our accuracy in front of goal
"It's going to come down to our disposal, we'll try and get back to our contested footy game and see if we can make the most of it going forward and put some scoreboard pressure on."
Josh Rachele played his first senior game as a Swan last week, but will be back in the Murray Bushrangers' ranks tomorrow.
For the Murray Bombers - and recently re-signed coaching duo Andrew Walker and Simon Maddox - tomorrow's clash will be about continuing to fine-tune their side for another finals tilt.
