The Deni Rhinos made their way to Nathalia last Saturday to take on the undefeated home side in a battle for top spot of the Murray Valley Cricket Association C-grade ladder.
The Deni side was full of youth, won the toss and sent Nathalia in to bat.
Nathalia started well scoring 32 runs off the first three overs before Charlie McCallum and Hamish Baker found their radar and dismissed the openers.
From that point on, Nathalia struggled with the bat while the young brigade of Oscar Marshall, Cooper King, Lachlan Cook and Fletcher Champion continued to bowl tight and pick up wickets regularly.
Nathalia finished all out for 121.
Deni started on fire with the bat as Dushan Rathwatte (25) and Charlie McCallum (36) put on 56 for the first wicket in no time at all.
Rathwatte chopped on, but runs continued to flow as Sam Dudley (17) and Steven Marshall (15) smacked fours to all corners of the ground to run the total down in just 21.5 overs and win by five wickets.
It was a real team effort that showed Deni has some great young talent coming through.
