Greater Shepparton City Council has provided an update on the Murchison Resource Recovery Centre’s opening hours - and it’s good news for local residents.
The facility will be open every Sunday from noon until 3.45pm - for disposal of domestic waste and recyclables - until further notice.
It comes after a growing number of the town’s residents voiced their concern and frustration with the continued closure of the facility due to staff shortages.
Council confirmed to The News that it is still finalising the recruitment process for the position to operate the RRC at Murchison and hopes to have the facility back open on Wednesdays in the ‘near future’.
