After a disappointing 12-goal loss to Lancaster in the qualifying final, the Kangaroos wanted to make the most of their second chance against Shepparton East, who had narrowly defeated them in round 3.

From the opening whistle, the Kangaroos held the Eagles at arm's length throughout the day to ultimately emerge as 10-goal winners at Tallygaroopna Recreational Reserve.

“Our amazing group have created history for the town of Girgarre by qualifying for the club's first-ever A-grade netball final; it is an incredible achievement,” Nelson said.

It was a tough day on the courts for the Eagles, as despite having four teams in action, none came away with a victory.

In under-17s, they lost 36-42 to Stanhope.
In C-grade, Murchison-Toolamba got the better of them 26-33, and in C-reserve, Girgarre once again came away with the win 43-41.

The Kangaroos now move on to face Lancaster in a top-of-the-table grand final match but will go into Saturday as underdogs, having been defeated by 24 and 11 goals in the sides’ two games this year.
