Among the trees and a rickety shed, the bush was transformed into a bohemian wonderland with the help of Mack + Mills Event Styling and Hire.
The forgotten paddock was the bustling set for bride and groom’s latest photo shoot; a modern take on boho with everything from a macrame arbour and an embroidered denim jacket to daring sock boots and a cotton bouquet.
Bride and groom editor Jessica Ball said it was important to curate a contemporary photo shoot while championing regional wedding suppliers with the talented Isabella Pellegrino of Isabella Pellegrino Photo behind the lens.
‘‘We’ve tried to capture something many may not expect to find in the Goulburn Valley,’’ Ms Ball said.
‘‘There are plenty of creative vendors in our backyard who are more than capable of creating a unique and unforgettable wedding day — couples don’t have to look to the city.’’
While it might sound like a picnic, Ms Ball said in reality working on a photo shoot was far from glamorous.
Through rain and humidity, models — Miss Universe Australia contestant, Benalla’s Darcy Spinks, and Shepparton’s Aaron Egan — showcased products and services from Brides and Maids, Blizzards Fine Jewellers, Evans Shoes, Flowers on Melville, Lavish Beauty by Stacey, Lavish Hair, Michele’s Bridal and Formal Wear and Talisman Menswear.
The photo shoot will grace the pages of the upcoming autumn/winter edition of bride and groom magazine, which will be launched at the inaugural Love + Light Wedding Festival in Shepparton on Sunday, April 14, at the McIntosh Centre.
