The Murray River Razorbacks Wheelchair Rugby Association meets once a month at the Echuca Basketball stadium.
In wheelchair rugby, teams attempt to carry the ball across the goal line while the opponents attempt to prevent this by colliding with them.
Organiser and group founder Christian Brackley formed the association after joining a local Melbourne competition.
“I thought I'll go to start doing some training and just happened to ask a few mates around the area, ‘are you interested in doing some training?’” he said.
“We're actually our own wheelchair rugby association, the only one in regional Australia.”
