Shepparton Cycling Club entertains Christmas Track Carnival

The Shepparton Christmas Track Carnival was in full effect on December 30 for a marathon session of track racing.

The Shepparton Velodrome entertained racers all day and into the evening, with everything from traditional relay races to annual memorial derbies on the menu.

After Shepparton Cycling Club’s Brett Lancaster forecast the track was still a couple of working bees away from looking its best, the facilities were in top nick.

Lancaster’s son Luca was among the contingent representing the home club, capping an eye-catching year where he rocketed to the fore of Australian youth cycling after Shepparton and Dookie hosted the Road National Championships in September.
