Some of the best country footballers from across Victoria have descended on Greater Shepparton for the under-15 tournament that kicked off on Monday.

Players are representing Goulburn Murray, North East Border, South East, Greater Western Victoria, Barwon, Bendigo and Gippsland with more than 600 teenagers taking to the field.

It is the third time the region has hosted the event in the past 18 months.
