Round two of the Northern Region Series is coming to Goulburn Valley Junior Motorcycle Club (GVJMC), bringing with it all the thrills and spills a high-octane racing event promises to deliver.
“We are glad to bring such a large-scale event to the community,” club president Matt Jobling said.
“It is a good opportunity for the public to come down and see what a race meet looks like.
“With the high amount of entries, there is going to be a great standard of racing on show.”
Upwards of 180 riders are locked in to participate, ranging from beginner to state level.
As one of the first events the club is hosting after COVID-19, Jobling cherished the chance to draw numbers to the track once again.
He also looked ahead in anticipation to the Victorian Junior State Titles, which the club is set to host over July 31-August 1 this year.
“We’ve been very fortunate to get good community support to host this event from local businesses,” he said.
“We’re then paying it forward by bringing income to Greater Shepparton with the amount of people arriving in the area for the event.”
● The racing commences at 9am on Sunday at 510 Echuca Rd, Mooroopna and runs until 4pm.
Spectators can enter free of cost and a full canteen is available throughout the day.
