Well, an upcoming event will present a chance to tap into that pool of literary potential.
The Readers Are Writers (RAW) workshop on Wednesday, April 24 beckons creative writers of all experience levels.
Dr Rachel Matthews, a celebrated author and RMIT lecturer, will host the event in her hometown of Shepparton at the Peppermill Inn.
Participants will explore works from various genres and writers, and have the opportunity to give and receive feedback in a supportive environment.
The first session, ‘Character and Voice’, focuses on techniques to create authentic characters for fiction and creative non-fiction.
The RAW: Readers Are Writers workshop is on Wednesday, April 24, from 6pm to 8pm, at the Peppermill Inn, 7900 Goulburn Valley Hwy.
Entry is $30 for adults, with a discounted rate of $25 for concessions, seniors and students.
Payment can be made via bank transfer (details provided upon booking request) or cash at the venue.
