Fix Movement Performance goes into liquidation

The company released a statement on Wednesday, May 24, saying the business had been forced to close due to the financial impacts of flooding in October 2022 and following sustained COVID-19 pressure.

The business closed suddenly on Monday, May 8, cancelling all appointments and classes, sparking confusion among customers and clients.

Fix owner Cher Hetherington expressed her disappointment about the closure, thanking staff, clients and the community for their loyalty and commitment towards the business for over 28 years.

“I couldn’t be more proud of what my team and I created — my heart breaks that the success we knew before COVID-19 couldn’t continue and that the business was unable to recover following what were impossibly difficult times,” she said.

“It is incomprehensible to me that I will no longer be able to do this with my wonderful team at Fix.

“My passion has always been to encourage people to take care of their health — it was my dream to serve my clients and create a unique environment to help them in their healing and movement journey so that they could lead a great life.

“Thank you Greater Shepparton, I am honoured and humbled to have had the opportunity to bring Fix to life in this amazing community.”

The statement from Fix said that further information on purchased class passes and vouchers would be provided to customers “as the process moves through”.
