The Bushrangers outplayed Sandringham Dragons for the majority of the round nine encounter at Wangaratta's Findlay Oval on their way to sealing a 9.11 (65) to 5.3 (33) win.
Shepparton United duo Keeley Skepper and Aurora Smith led from the front with classy individual performances.
Skepper, a Benalla product, excelled in a range of positions and finished the day with 24 disposals, 13 inside 50s and five rebound 50s.
Smith, the Daisy Pearce Medal winner, ended the day with 22 touches and six tackles.
The star talents received plenty of support from Finley's Olivia Cicolini, who enjoyed a day out with three majors, and Benalla duo Tayissa Gray and Cassidy Mailer — who kicked one goal each.
Bushrangers’ assistant coach Mario de Santa-ana was over the moon with how the side performed in the season ending match.
“It was a very enjoyable way to finish the season,” de Santa-ana said.
“I thought it was a great reward for the girls after all the hard work they put in.
“The past couple of weeks the group had been improving and playing strong football and I felt this was the end result for their good form.
“We missed out on finals by percentage, but our season turned out how we wanted it to, with each player in the squad getting a game.
“Cassidy returned from injury and played her first game of the season, we were really rapt to see her out there running around.”
The Bushrangers never gave Sandringham a look in as they led from start to finish.
“I felt everything, except for a short period at the start of the third term, went to plan,” de Santa-ana said.
“During the week we highlighted that our pressure and intensity around the contest had to be at a high level and we needed to prevent their run-and-carry, which to the girls’ credit they did.”
The Bushies mentor went on to praise the performance of his side's gun duo.
“We felt Keeley played one of her best games of the season,” de Santa-ana said.
“She played across half-back, on the wing and through the middle and dominated each position. Her game goes to another level each week.
“Aurora had a run-with player to start with on the wing and so we moved her into the midfield where there was a bit more traffic.
“And as she does each week, she showed us another component of her game with the way she won the footy on the inside. She has no ceiling on her game.”
