The finals of the Goulburn Valley Bowls Division Men's State Triples were held on Sunday at Shepparton Park.
In the first semi-final, Stanhope's Ben Fletcher, Tim Hancock and Dave Townsend defeated Hill Top's Jeff McNaughton, Paul Newman and Justin Spedding 16-14.
It was a tight contest with the scores level coming into the last end.
In the other semi-final, David Cartwright and his son Josh, along with Lee Farrell defeated East Shepparton's Daniel Nichols, Graeme Barber and Don Dickinson.
The Hill Top trio dominated its opponents and claimed a 23-11 win.
And that dominance continued in the final, with the Hill Top combination far too consistent for the Stanhope guys winning the final 18-8.
This is the second win for the Cartwrights, who previously won the Men's Pairs together and is David's third title after he claimed the Mixed Pairs with daughter Olivia. Thanks to the host venue Shepparton Park and also to the umpires on the day Michael and Terry.
