The initiative, run by the Rochester Football Netball Club, has earned enough donations to buy every resident a membership again this year.
“We were absolutely overwhelmed with the generosity of the support last year,” said Rochester FNC president Justin Cleary.
“This year the need is still there because Rochester’s still in recovery mode.
“A lot of people are still battling the aftermath of (the floods) in 2022 and we want to be able to give people an opportunity to come and enjoy each other's company and reconnect with friends and family.”
With the club’s first home game coming up this Saturday and Moon Oval putting the newly installed lights to the test for a 6pm start, now is the perfect time to access a membership through My Shout.
Residents can pick up a club membership from Rochester Ampol, Rochester Newsagents, or at the ground with proof of local residency.
Family memberships will be distributed through local schools when the new term resumes.
The My Shout campaign is still accepting donations with the link able to be accessed through Rochester FNC’s Facebook Page.
The Tigers started the season on the front foot, with the senior football and A-grade netball sides both posting big wins in an opening round visit to Benalla at the weekend.
“We're really excited about the year ahead,” said Cleary.
“We've done a lot of work in the off-season both with recruiting and training and setting some new standards at the club.
“We are very bullish about how our entire list of football and netball go this year and expect some very good results.
“Really looking forward to our first game under these beautiful lights we’ve got installed now, probably the best in the Goulburn Valley I’d suggest.
“It’ll be a big night, a lot of fun, so we can’t wait for it on Saturday.”
