The 2021 season will include a two-week bye during school holidays and another bye over the Queen's Birthday long weekend in June.
Finals will be played over three weeks, with the grand final set for September 11.
After securing the services of ex-Melbourne Vixens coach Julie Hoornweg last season to perform a mentoring role for the league's coaches, Hoornweg will be back again.
“Julie will return for our targeted mentoring program, which will start three weeks prior to the season,” association president Tracey Toy said.
“She will develop up to 20 coaches and the program is just for SNA coaches and we believe this will also better develop our players.”
As is the case with many clubs fielding teams in the senior leagues across the district, the association is currently short of players.
“The word on the street is clubs are struggling for players to get back,” Toy said.
“We are running a few events alongside Activities in the Park with Greater Shepparton City Council to hopefully get people interested again.”
In addition to player numbers, the association is also looking for an all-abilities convener to help keep the sport as inclusive as possible.
“There were a number of clubs that didn't attend the AGM and it meant we didn't fill all our committee positions,” Toy said.
“At SNA, we have an all-abilities team and we have a convener, who organises the time they play and gets in contact with carers (etcetera).
“We need someone to put their hand up to be the convenor for our all-abilities team as we want netball to be a sport for everyone.”
