Greater Shepparton families were welcomed into the world of Arthur Dickmann Children’s Centre yesterday.
Families were encouraged to learn about the centre, meet with educators and teachers before making the choice to enrol next year.
Centre teacher Marni Thomson said the open day gave families an insight into how the kinder program ran.
‘‘We are very central to Shepparton — we actually walk to a lot of our excursions, including events at Eastbank and the library. We also attend a lot of community events,’’ Ms Thomson said.
Those in attendance we treated to an information session by Wild Action Zoo showcasing native animals.
‘‘Informing the children about animals shows them what’s in their environment and what to look for while participating in our bush kinder program that runs throughout term two and three,’’ Ms Thomson said.
The Arthur Dickmann Children’s Centre is located at 104-106 Maude St, Shepparton.Enrolments for next year close on August 31. Enrolment forms can be found at www.greatershepparton. com.au
