Echuca started its Northern Country Women's League campaign with a bang.

The 2019 grand finalist romped home to an 88-point victory over Tatura at Moama's Jack Eddy Oval on Sunday.

It was the first slice of NCWL action since Mooroopna's incredible 2019 grand final victory over the Murray Bombers.

And if the opening round performance is anything to go by, Echuca has plans to redeem its missed premiership.

Jodie Lake booted four majors in the win, while Kate Dixon, Bridget Millar, Jess Cox and Tayla Stewart slotted two each.

In the other round one contest, it was all one-way traffic for Nathalia.

The Purples enjoyed a crushing 88-point victory over reigning premier Mooroopna.

Tegan Sutton was best afield for her three-goal performance, while Abby Favaro also chipped in with three.

Marni Hicks and Madison Tyndall contributed strong efforts in the dominant win.
