Goulburn Valley Playing Area midweek pennant bowls returned across the region on Tuesday.

Headlining the ninth round of Edna Harling Shield division one action was a mouth-watering clash between Shepparton Park and Tatura-Hill Top.

Played out on Park’s home deck, Hill-Top proved too strong, running out an 18-shot winner.

Led by an impressive 18-29 victory on rink one thanks to skip Rod Madill, Hill-Top confirmed its premiership contention and jumped above its opponents on the table.

Across town, fellow top four hopefuls Shepparton Golf and East Shepparton battled out an entertaining clash on Golf’s home turf, with the home side taking out a 14-shot win.

Moving the side move into third on the ladder, Golf’s victory was led by Ashleigh King’s 14-shot win in rink three.

Elsewhere, ladder leading Kyabram produced a well-rounded three-rink win over Rushworth.

Facing an away day, Kyabram put on a professional display, with a 15-44 rink win the highlight of the day.

In the final game of the round Seymour suffered a 24-shot loss at home to Euroa.
