More than 3000 people are expected to dance the night away on Fryers St, Shepparton, for the Aussie Hotel’s Carols by Barrels tomorrow.
Event co-ordinator Debbie McAlloon said the event was nearing its 30th year and had become an integral part of the town’s events calendar in that time.
‘‘It’s Shepparton’s biggest street party,’’ she said.
‘‘It should be really good this year, one of our best yet, I think what makes it so popular is everyone is really up for a party.’’
Live entertainment starts from 6pm with the outdoor stage acts of Anthony Lucas, Fortessima, Daisy Chainsaw, SMAC and headliner the Robbie Williams Experience; in the main lounge SPCTRL will be spinning the disks, while Seanny G will be playing in the outback bar.
Entry to the event is $20 which can be paid at the entrance or pre-purchased from the venue.
Ms McAlloon said the night was a great chance to enjoy a meal at the Aussie Hotel, with an alfresco dining area set up on Fryers St. ‘‘Those that dine with us get free entry to Carols by Barrels, but bookings are required and are running out fast,’’ she said.
