Only weather has prevented the Yarrawonga Mulwala Lakers A Grade from victory in the A Grade Final replay against City Colts.
Winning the toss and batting, the Lakers chose to bat and with rain threatening and in windy condition they needed to put a score on the board.
The Lakers compiled 4 for 156 off 34.2 overs when the match was interrupted by rain which eventually saw the game drawn due to weather.
The Lakers batsmen struggled early, before Corey McIntosh obliterated the City Colts attack.
He shared in a 36-run partnership with Harry Wheeler and then a 45-run stand with Reid Clarke.
With the score at 4 for 92, the match was evenly poised.
McIntosh was joined by Will Sharp and the pair took the City Colts attack apart to all parts of the Stan Hargreaves Oval in Yarrawonga.
In an unbeaten partnership of 64 runs, McIntosh scored 63 off 106 balls, while Sharp scored 29 off 21 balls.
Both players showed great poise and punished anything with width. Both were not out when rain intervened. The undefeated Yarrawonga Mulwala A Grade has a bye this weekend.
