There will be plenty of fun and activities on offer at the 136th ClubMulwala 2019 Yarrawonga Mulwala Agricultural Show which will be held on Friday, October 4 and Saturday, October 5.
With a mega schedule of activities and events from 9am to 9pm on Saturday at the Yarrawonga Showgrounds there will be something for everyone from the woodchopper’s competition and wild action zoo to the traditional fairy floss, showbags and side-show alley rides.
Starting on Friday the familiar horse ring events and Dogs Victoria dog show will commence providing plenty of entertainment before the side show alley opens at 5.30pm to 9pm for $5 entry.
The show will be officially opened around midday on Saturday with plenty to keep the kids entertained with a pet parade, colouring competition, Miss Showgirl competition and the coveted award for the best decorated pushbike or scooter.
There is a full program of sheep and wool events and poultry categories, plus a raft of show jumping events to enjoy on the arena.
This year will see the 54th year of the Lions Club Wool Competition, proudly sponsored by Elders, which receives great support from local farmers with all proceeds being donated back to local projects.
The Horticultural Pavilion will also be filled with entries in a variety of floral art categories both for ‘budding’ children gardeners and the more experienced of green thumbs.
The emergency services will be around all day with SES, Fire Brigade and Police demos all throughout the day as well as the Royal Flying Doctors with their simulator.
In the main pavilion mouths will be watering with entries in cooking categories featuring scones, cakes, pavlovas, lamingtons, shortbread, slices, plum puddings and Christmas cakes as well as the inaugural men’s iced chocolate cake cooking competition.
Also housed under the Main Pavilion roof will be entries from craft competitors in needlecraft, art, photography and woodwork.
Live music from Melbourne’s Andrew Wishart in the evening as well as great local artists will feature throughout the day as well as Becky Bubble making an appearance before the dusk sky is lit up by the ClubMulwala Fireworks to end the fantastic event.
