Players were reminded that summer had arrived when they played in hot conditions for the stableford event sponsored by Tatura Post Office.
The heat did not affect Jan Coe as she scored an excellent 37 points to win A-grade.
Runner-up was Sheryl Curran with 36 points.
Phyl Fiddes is playing consistently with wins in consecutive weeks.
Phyl scored 35 points to win B-grade.
Runner-up was Mandy McGrath scoring 32 points.
Balls went to Heather Long 33 and Joan Hill 32 on countback.
Pennant: Hill Top defeated Tocumwal 2-1.
The second round of pennant was delayed due to the extreme temperatures and was played on Tuesday.
Coming events: Golf Victoria’s qualifying round for the four-ball best-ball event is to be played at Hill Top in February.
Members are encouraged to play, with entries to be submitted on-line.
Vale Chris Court: Members were saddened to hear of the passing of Chris. Chris was a popular golfer, in the time she played at Hill Top.

HILL TOP GOLF 24-1-2021 by Foozle
Despite the high temperatures on Saturday, there were 75 starters for the men’s stroke competition which was won by Luke Davis in C-grade with a round of 85-21-64.
Glenn Newton won A-grade and Joe De Ieso B-grade, each with scores of nett 67.
Anthony Devine was runner-up in A-grade with 68, Perry Drazpauskas in B-grade, also with 68, and Josh Danaher in C-grade had 67.
Ball-winners: Joshua McRae 68, John Owen, Rocci Villani, James Ibbotson and Dave Cornwall 69, Brian Coe, Terry O’Brien, Scott Carter, Linc Wellington and Brady Bourke 70 on a countback.
The field for the women’s competition was dominated by visitors from Lang Lang and Maryanne Babic took the chocolates with 40 stableford points off a 51 handicap.
Maria Warburton was runner-up with 35 points and Lee Andrews won a consolation ball for her 34 on a countback.
Pennant: East division squared its matches with Numurkah at Cobram and are well placed on the ladder.
Travis Worm and Glenn Newton lost 5-4, Terry Onley and Andrew Purdey squared (Andrew birdied the last two holes for wins), Ty Guiney and Dale McNair won 5-4, Tim and Ray Nicholson lost 3-1, while Alex Bell and Matt Miller won 3-2.
West division defeated Merrigum 3-2 and remains undefeated, giving it bragging rights over the other Hill Top division.
Ashleigh Blake and Daniel Maher lost 3-2, Josh Danaher and Scott Perry won 2-1, Dylan Burls and Col Barlow won +1, Jake Chessells and Dave Cornwall lost 5-4 and Jono Kerrins and James Peck won 2.
Midweek: Many visitors swelled the field for the stableford competition on Tuesday, but the event was won by midweek regular Ian Elders with 38 points off a 15 handicap.
Donald Kennedy was runner-up with 36 points and consolation balls went to Graham Meneilly and Jedd Wright 35 and to Darren Moroney 34 on a countback.
Frank Hill won the stroke competition on Thursday with a solid round of 86-18-68, John Keller was runner-up with 73-4-69 and line-balls went to Allen Gale and Peter Caldow 71 and to Bob Wildes 72.
Mat Langley Twilight: Neil McAntee was the best of the 47 players on the front nine on Thursday, winning with 23 stableford points.
Col Barlow was runner-up with 21 and balls down-the-line went to Bryce Wellington 20, Francie Mark, Jody Webber, Mick Trevaskis, Michael Mulcahy and Phyl Fiddes 19.
