The big-hitter transferred his stellar Cricket Shepparton A-grade Twenty20 form into ripping Haisman Shield touch when the competition returned from its festive break at the weekend, hitting 83 from 55 deliveries.
The innings included five sixes among nine boundaries in total and lifted United from a great total to an imposing one.
Rehan Bari (51) and Keegan Armstrong (40) set the platform nicely for Rendina to tee-off from at Princess Park, with the home side eventually settling for 6-239 in 45 overs.
Young quick Harry Murdoch was the pick of the Tatura bowlers with 3-45, while Jayden Armstrong, Michael Archer and Connor Davies snared one wicket apiece.
The visitors started magnificently in the chase as openers Raj Singh (41) and David Miller (36) put together a 79-run stand, but from there only skipper Archer (41 not out) and Armstrong (23) were able to put on more than a dozen runs.
Ethan Warburton proved the most damaging bowler for United — snaring 2-27 from his nine overs — as Tatura made 5-170 from its allotted overs.
Chaminda Vidanapathirana, Ethan McLaren and Bari also snared wickets in the crucial win for the home side.
The six points garnered from the result keeps United in touch with the top six, just a game out of the finals mix.
