The Goulburn Valley region is buzzing with bowls action, with the much anticipated 2019 Victorian Open starting yesterday.

Day one of the the eight-day tournament saw the mixed pairs take to the greens and showcase their skills on the beautifully-prepared rinks in the region.
It was a long day for the local and international competitors, with the day rolling off at 8.30 am, before finishing 6.30 pm.
No local Goulburn Valley Bowls Division matches will be played today, with 20 venues across the region being used in Victoria's premier bowls event.
Today's fixture sees the singles battle it out, while tomorrow will see the pairs battle it out for glory.
