Moyola rapt with donation

Generations Op Shop has poured its profits back into the community once again.

Last week, op shop manager Neville Crow met with staff from Moyola Lodge to hand over the $2000 that was donated as a result of the past three months of trading.

‘‘Every three months we try to give out a substantial cheque like this one,’’ Mr Crow said.

‘‘Basically we like to spread it around the community, so this time we’ve chosen to give it towards Moyola to support them in what they do and the care they provide.’’

Moyola’s Gaby Cornwall said the donation was extremely generous and would be an enormous contribution toward purchasing new equipment for the residents.

‘‘It’s great support, it’s local, it’s showing that community feel,’’ Ms Cornwall said

She said not only was it a joy to receive the massive donation, but also to watch the progress and the impact the op shop continued to have throughout the community.

‘‘They do a really great job in there,’’ she said.

Mr Crow said the donations were only made possible as a result of the generous community kindly donating items.

‘‘We’re only able to do what we do because of the community’s generosity,’’ he said.

‘‘And this is just our way of giving back and saying thank you.’’
