Earlier, Troy Beecroft played a similarly pivotal role, making 94 not out to help Tatura make its strong total.
Captain Nathan Bowles was also quality with 36.
In other matches, Pine Lodge relied on excellent bowling to take a strong win against Shepparton United.
The Pineapples batted first and made 176, getting good contributions from Ryan McKenna (44), Adam Pigatto (37) and Damien Pigatto (26).
But the game was theirs once they started wrecking the United batting line-up, with brilliant spells from Jarrad Newman (3-3 off six overs), Angus Griffin (2-7 off three) and Adam Pigatto (2-14 off four) getting the job done.
Top-shelf batting from Old Students Blue earned it bragging rights against intraclub rival White, claiming a 77-run win.
Blue's top order looked the goods, with Dale Janke (88) and Mathew Newton-King (50) steering the side to 9-213 from 40 overs.
White's bowlers produced a balanced display, with each of its seven bowlers taking a scalp including Mia Earl's 2-8.
With the bat, White had some nice contributions with David Cooper (40) and Nicholas Cooper (26), but were always behind the required run-rate and finished at 6-136.
And Nagambie also made a great start to the season with a 129-run win against Murchison.
The Lakers posted 6-242 batting first with Angus Murray (76) and Hugh McKeown (52 not out) raising the bat.
Shannon Broadbent did what he could for Murchison with 57, but found little help as his side finished 40 overs at 6-113.
