The seven-year-old legend continued a fantastic year by slashing home to win at a juicy price of $9.10, edging out stablemate Power Scheme by the narrowest of margins in a photo finish.
So Si Bon settled eighth and travelled beautifully, factoring into the race at the 300m mark and flashing down the outside to hit the front right on the line.
It was his third win of 2020, a year that has also included a ripping third place in the Group One Makybe Diva Stakes - and co-trainer Ben Hayes could not have been happier.
“It was fantastic. I know for the owners he's been frustrating this prep so it's really good to get that win for them,” Hayes said.
“He's always knocking on the door and I think that's how he wins, he wins by the barest of margins and he got there well.
“(Jockey) Mark (Zahra) did a great job, 10 out of 10 ride, just let him balance, he pulled out and he was just too strong.
“I thought (Power Scheme) won actually until the photo came up.
“He ran super, he backed up excellent and was really strong through the line and unfortunately ran into So Si Bon.”
Hayes said the 59-start So You Think product could run it back next week and attack the listed Ballarat Cup, run over 2000m.
“He's a great horse because he just loves being in training, he's been in for a very long time,” he said.
“If he pulls up well, we wouldn't be against backing him up next week in the Ballarat Cup.”
So Si Bon's win made it a double for the Euroa stable, with Hindaam winning the listed Twilight Glow Stakes earlier on the card.
The three-year-old filly dashed home to roll favourite La Mexicana, paying a delicious $5.
