The division one Parkers knocked off ladder-leader Shepparton Golf under the roof at Kialla Park Reserve on Friday night to hand Brad Orr's troops their second defeat in a row.
The Golfers remain comfortably in top spot, but Paul Nichols and his charges have now put a 25-point gap between themselves and fifth spot on the table, while holding a 12-point buffer in second position over third-placed East Shepparton.
Nichols, Josh Warren (third), Jeff Boyle (second) and Jim Oliver (lead) were on fire in the round 11 clash, defeating Col Power 38-24 among an overall 14-102 to 4-92 triumph.
Paul Warren found the other win for the home side - 28-17 over Orr - while David Daws (25-13) and John Gribble (26-23) defeated Peter Matthews and Denis Smyth respectively.
● Stanhope continues to produce clutch performances on the green, this time sneaking past Kyabram on Saturday.
It gives Stanhope four wins in its past five matches, and despite remaining seventh on the table draws it within 13 points of a finals berth with three rounds to go.
With 18 points awarded for a clean sweep victory it puts the outfit right in the hunt for a post-season appearance.
Shane Walsh skipped his rink to a 25-18 win, with Tim Hancock (26-23) also finding success in the 14-97 to 4-93 result.
For the Power it was Greg Shilling (28-24) and Rob George (24-22) snaring points, keeping the side within nine of fourth.
● East continued on its run of good form, defeating Hill Top 16-103 to 2-80.
As well as going a long way to securing a finals spot, the win for Daniel Nichols and his charges kept them in the hunt for the double chance which comes with a top-two finish.
Nichols had the wood over Jeff McNaughton 29-15 on Saturday, with Geoff Franze (27-17) and Ash Lawlor (25-21) also on the winner's list.
Russell Locke found a crucial two points for the Hillbillies in a 27-22 result which kept his side in fourth by shots difference against Euroa.
● The Magpies accomplished exactly what they set out to do against Nagambie, securing all 18 points in a 123-77 triumph.
Bill O'Connor's 35-20 win led the way, with Tony Kingma (30-17), Charles Sellenger (29-17) and Ken Sutcliffe (29-23) also impressing.
Stanhope's winning run and their own poor form has combined to shut the door on the Lakers’ hopes of remaining in the top tier after this season.
Nagambie is 49 points adrift of relegation safety with only a possible 54 points left for it to snare in the campaign.
