Shepparton Junior Tennis Association wrap | round nine

Shepparton Junior Tennis Association action continued at the weekend and, once again, there were plenty of thrilling contests across the grades.

News photographer Megan Fisher was on hand to capture one such clash with the B3-grade battle between Shepparton Lawn Blue and McEwen Reserve ending in a draw.

Both outfits finished with a total of 4-37 when the final ball was struck, showcasing the close nature of the fixture.

Blue's Jack Trevaskis, Oliver William and Ava Harrington were among the set winners, with Amelie Werk and Annabelle Ackland working hard across their respective rubbers.

For McEwen it was Jess Joseph, Jeffries Jacob, Sofia Stojanovski and Sam Campisi leading the charge throughout the match.

Other fixtures in the division went the way of Shepparton Lawn Green, Tatura Lawn and Toolamba.

There was also a draw in the B1-grade, with Nathalia Lawn and Shepparton Lawn Green unable to be separated on the scoresheet.

Jake Brown, Ryan Bell, Anna Brown and Bridie Wilson all battled hard for Nathalia to rack up a total of 4-32, with Zac Borzillo, Miles Sanders, Stephen Tate and Xan Booth managing the same for Green.

Among the other winners in the competition were Toolamba and Mooroopna.

In the A1-A2 grade it was Kialla Park Gold, Shepparton Lawn Red and Shepparton Lawn Blue who had plenty of reason to celebrate after triumphs against Kialla Park Blue, Mooroopna Cats Blue and Mooroopna Cats White respectively.
