Among the most eye-catching clearances lodged to date is Shepparton's acquisition of former Richmond player Nathan Drummond.
Drummond, who formerly spent time at the Bears before being drafted from Mooroopna, played 12 VFL games with Footscray this year and is expected to remain in the state league system.
Newly-announced Shepparton co-coach Ramadan Yze confirmed Drummond would make the Bears his home club, but he did not expect to see much of the 24-year-old star in the Goulburn Valley League.
Drummond played in Shepparton's 2011 under-18 premiership.
Elsewhere, Euroa continued adding talent to its list with the addition of key position defender Dan Garside.
Garside is the brother of Tom Garside, who played every game for the Magpies this season.
The Magpies seem poised to drastically improve next year with Jack Hellier, Ben Giobbi, Zak Calvert, Adrian Karatzas, Nick Baring and Harrison Lane all heading to the Nest.
Echuca forward Tim Allan is seemingly on the move, although his final destination is unclear.
A clearance has been lodged to take Allan from Murray Bombers to Southern league club Murrumbeena, although he has since been cleared from that club to the Victorian Amateur Football Association.
●The Murray Football League's Deniliquin Rams have added three-time premiership player Tim Holobowski to their coaching set-up, joining Sam Hall as co-coaches.
Holobowski played in the club's 2003, 2004 and 2011 premierships and returns from North Central league club Wycheproof Narraport where he won two more flags, but he played just two games this year.
The Rams also announced gun midfielder Todd Gallagher would return as an assistant coach, something that pleased Holobowski.
“It’s pretty special for me, being able to come home to the club I love and help Sam and Gags (Gallagher) develop what looks to be such a promising young side,” Holobowski told the Pastoral Times.
“I played in a flag with them (Hall and Gallagher) in 2011 and I’ve got so many great memories and have all my best friends through the Rams; it’s a great club and a great place for young men and women to be around.
“I’m 34 now and virtually had last year off footy, so there’s no guarantee, but I’m confident I’ll be playing and providing some guidance to the young blokes on the field alongside Gags.”
Former Blighty coach Jack Tyndall and Darcy Pogue, 2011 premiership players, are also returning to the club.
Elsewhere in the Murray league, Moama has regained many young key players that had spent time away from the club.
Fraser Verhey (Echuca) and Callum Doyle (Rochester) return from the GVL, while Toby Hore returns from Leitchville-Gunbower, with Liam Ritchie also ready to return from injury.
The Magpies have also added assistant coach Darcy Bibby from Leitchville-Gunbower, and he brings Jack Gleeson and Marcus Wattie with him.
And Congupna has continued to load its side full of talent, adding Fraser Hicks, Dylan Wilson, Jake Butcher and Glenn Boyd to the side, with Daniel Campbell, Jak Trewin and Aaron Egan among those to recommit.
●In Kyabram District Football League, Murchison-Toolamba confirmed Nick Iorianni would return for his second year as senior coach.
Iorianni took the Grasshoppers to fourth on the ladder this season with a 12-4 record, with his side ousted in the first week of finals by Stanhope.
