The Kyabram teenager added another title to her collection on Thursday when she claimed the Goulburn Valley Bowls Division's women's state singles crown, showing outstanding composure in a thrilling final.
Cartwright tackled Hill Top's Jeanette Overall in the decider at Tatura Bowls Club, with the tug of war eventually finishing with a 25-23 win for the region's rising star.
Remarkably, only once did the margin extended past three shots in favour of either combatant in the eventual 35-end clash - and only twice were more than two shots won on an end - showcasing how evenly matched the duo were on the day.
Cartwright started the contest by claiming the first three ends, but by the fifth Overall had drawn level once more.
Again the teenager pushed ahead, taking a three-shot lead after seven and then nine ends, but a quick burst from Overall swung the momentum her way to see her lead by three shots after 12 ends, 11-8.
Cartwright knuckled down to win seven of the next eight ends, although the fact six of them were only ones meant it was only a 16-12 advantage she held when Overall eventually jumped back on the jack.
Both competitors reached 20 shots to set up a grandstand finish, with Cartwright dropping a three before closing the game out in style by snaring the next four ends and reigning supreme.
Stanhope's Jenny Crilly was Cartwright's semi-final opponent earlier in the day after they both got through Wednesday's qualifying proceedings, with the latter winning her way through to the final 25-11.
Overall had defeated East Shepparton's Stacey Collier 25-21 in the other semi-final.
