Murphy ripped through the Magpies’ batting line-up in St Kilda's 30-run win in round three, claiming impressive figures of 4-19 off nine overs.
St Kilda was able to restrict Camberwell to 175 - in reply to its 205 - thanks to the exploits of Murphy, who was on a hat-trick at one stage.
Murphy was able to follow-up his efforts with a handy 2-43 the next day in St Kilda's three-wicket loss to Melbourne.
Elsewhere, Footscray duo Daniel Sartori and Hamish Winter-Irving were the action at the weekend.
Sartori bounced back into form in the round four 58-run win against Frankston Peninsula.
The Katandra product raised the bat on his way to making 72, while former Central Park-St Brendan's speedster Winter-Irving claimed 2-37 in Footscray's draw with Prahran.
But it was former Old Students and Karramomus player James Billington that shone in that match for Prahran, scoring a stunning 80 off 97 deliveries.
Billington surpassed his own efforts the next day with a dazzling 87 off 82 balls that included two sixes and seven fours, which takes his season tally to 289 runs from four innings.
Meanwhile in second division, Central Park-St Brendan's batsman Connor Hayes enjoyed a superb innings for Greenvale in its 17-run win against Kingston-Hawthorn.
Hayes recorded his highest score for the Kangaroos, blasting 82 at first drop, which earned him a division one debut the next day.
He was up against a familiar face in Karramomus wicketkeeper Josh McDonald - as Greenvale took on Geelong - and scored a respectful 26 not out.
But it was McDonald that claimed bragging rights over his fellow export, as Geelong recorded a seven-wicket win, thanks to Tim Ludeman's blazing 93 off 63 deliveries.
Ludeman punished the Greenvale bowlers with 14 fours and three sixes in his whirlwind innings at the top of the order.
Lastly, Central Park-St Brendan's export duo Tyler and Josh Larkin helped guide Geelong's seconds to victory in round four, following their draw in round three.
Tyler was damaging with the bat, registering knocks of 62 and 64 from both games, to lift his season tally to 203 from four matches.
And Karra's Andrew Poppa produced a sublime 79 in Carlton's 77-run win against the Monash Tigers in division four.
