The 50th and final Hanlon Day was run and won at the weekend.

A huge 80 players from nine clubs took to the expertly prepared Kialla Golf Club to play in the final Hanlon Day on Sunday, October 13.
Bill Hanlon was the founding president of Kialla Golf Club and passed away in 1969.
Today Bill’s family is represented by Judi, Barb and Jill and the family has generously sponsored the day for many years.

In addition to the great field of 80 players, 17 surviving past winners were in attendance and were treated to a scrumptious afternoon tea, catered for by the members Kialla Golf Club.
President Ben spoke of the contribution the Hanlon family had made to Kialla Golf Club and then introduced Judy, who proudly presented the trophies to the winners.

Runner-up: Kim Morris and Darren Duckworth (Shepparton).

The raffle, a pizza oven donated by Oasis Turf, was won by Bill Waite, with Simon Delahunty second, Frank Hill third and Emily Christie fourth.
The Diamond Putter, donated by Purdeys Jewellers, which was conducted over the Men’s and Women’s 4BBB and Hanlon Day, for NTP on the fourth, was won by Leo Hartup, Kialla, with a great shot only 92 cm from the hole.
