Although the all-rounder missed last week's Cricket Shepparton Haisman Shield victory against Tatura, he was excited to see his troops get over the line nonetheless.
“It was great to see last week,” Turner said.
“Our group itself is good enough to compete and perform and win at this level.
“Once you start getting wins together it starts getting easier and easier, once they know how to win from winning positions they know how to do it again.”
And with the Rod Kilmartin Shield back in Karramomus’ arms, attention turns to tomorrow's battle against Central Park-St Brendan's.
“It was good to get the shield back from them, it's always played in good spirits and is a great day out,” Turner said of last week's game.
“I'm pretty confident coming into it (tomorrow's clash), fingers crossed we can get the job done again.”
Luke Forge led the way with the bat for the Bloods last week, cracking an unbeaten 71 from 71 deliveries to take the game away from Tatura.
Nathan Jones (53 not out) was also in ripping form, while a collective bowling effort — with Jason Ibbotson, Lachie and Chris Keady all taking two wickets — was key to defending the total of 4-212.
The Tigers have started the season without a win despite getting close in each fixture and will be keen to get on the board tomorrow at Central Park Recreation Reserve.
Andrew Lloyd and Xavier Chalkley both took three wickets for the Tigers against the Northerners, while Jack McCarten led the way with the bat in hitting 35 before he was run out.
