The Murray Bombers will take to Deakin Reserve - the scene of last year's triumph on the biggest stage of all - with only Seymour standing in the way of back-to-back flags.
Echuca has claimed victory in all three fixtures between the sides this campaign and coach Leo Tenace is proud of his charges and what they have managed to accomplish to this stage of the season.
“They've done a great job this year,” Tenace said.
“The expectations probably weren't as high as last year, but they've dug deep and stuck together.”
Jack Evans has proved a match-winner in the eight games he has started in this year - booting 31 majors - but Tenace will rely on every one of his charges when taking on the Lions.
“We're probably a lot more reliant on system and structure and depth,” he said.
“Synergy in the forward line is important, hopefully Jack and Joseph Guiney get on the end of a few.
“Jackson Stewart, Mitch Wales and Matt Lias will all roll through the midfield and we need to be on in there because Seymour's midfield is really strong and really deep.
“It should be a great game of footy, hopefully it's close - but not too close.”
As for the Lions, stars such as Ben Rigoni, Alick Nai, Hudson Kaak, Huw Jones, Dylan Cook and Sam Durham have helped deliver the side to the grand final and will be crucial in deciding the eventual result.
“Last time we played Echuca, we played three really good quarters and one average quarter,” Seymour coach Travis Blackwell told the Seymour Telegraph.
“If we play four quarters against Echuca, we are every chance to beat them.
“Both teams are pretty even, it’s just they’ve beaten us a couple of times.
“We had all the run in the last game and we didn’t finish it off.
“I think it may stand us in good stead this week, that experience of playing against them and knowing we need to play four quarters to beat them.”
