Lallo, 21, came across from the Riddell District Netball League at the start of the season after a conversation with Lions coach Elle McDonald.
Fast-forward almost a year and the talented attacker is preparing for her first chance of grabbing a senior premiership medal.
Lallo and her Seymour teammates have a date with Shepparton United on Sunday in the Goulburn Valley League A-grade grand final.
And even though the Victorian Netball League-listed netballer was quietly confident of her side's chances this season, she can't quite believe they are one win away from glory.
“Heading into this season just after I joined, I was confident that we could make finals and go deep in finals,” she said.
“But to finally be here, in my first season is amazing. I can't really believe it.”
And if it was not for her chance meeting with McDonald, Lallo may never have been preparing for Sunday's match.
“We met each other at university games and she asked if I'd be interested in playing for Seymour,” she said.
“So yeah, she convinced me to play and it's probably the best decision that I have made.
“The GV is such high standard, from game day right down to our training sessions.
“It's been a challenge, each side you come up against is always going to be a hard to beat.”
Anyone who has watched Lallo play this season would be amazed to find that the attacking option has found playing a challenge this season.
She has looked right at home in Seymour's line-up and has performed superbly during her debut season in the GV.
One player who has helped her adjust to the challenges of GV netball has been Ellie O'Sullivan, with Lallo speaking highly of her shooting partner-in-crime.
“Me and Ellie O'Sullivan have a really strong connection on the court,” she said.
“I've been able to teach her a few things and she's been able to teach me a lot too.
“At the start it was difficult, it always is a challenge for new attacking pairs when they begin playing together.
“But now, we know each other's game so well and I love playing with her. She's the best goal partner.”
If the Lions are to prove successful against the Demons on Sunday it will take a genuine all-round effort, but Lallo and her teammates are ready to go roaring into battle alongside their mentor.
“Elle is such a strong figure on and off the court, she leads really well and sets the standard,” Lallo said.
“She's really supportive, but also expects the best out of us, she's a really strong leader.”
